Help for step 4 of 4: Records

The records in this resource are designed to help you monitor the food safety practices that apply to your business. Based on your activities you answered yes to, the records you must keep are listed below.
If the record sheets in this publication do not suit your business, you can design your own. This might include setting out the information differently. If you use an alternative, make sure that:
  • you collect the same information as the example record(s) you are replacing
  • your written records are in English
  • if using remote IT systems to monitor cold storage, refer to the Guide to remote monitoring of temperatures in food storage units Version 1 at www.health.vic.gov.au/foodsafety/bus/alternative.htm or discuss this with your council environmental health officer.
  • If you use a record you have designed yourself, add a blank copy to your food safety program. It is recommended that you check with your council environmental health officer to make sure it complies with your food safety program.
 
This step presents a summary of all the food practice sections that have been identified as being relevant to your business.
To add some cutom notes to any section, expand any section and click on the "Include Notes" checkbox. A page with these notes will be inserted at the end of that section in your Foodsmart program.
 
Click the "Print" button to generate a PDF document containing all program details and record sheets needed.
 
These record sheets are saved in Portable Document Format (PDF). To open PDF documents, you will need the free Acrobat Reader plugin. You can download this from the Adobe website at www.adobe.com.au
